Frequently Asked Questions
Understanding the Work
-
Psychedelic integration is a structured, supportive process that helps you prepare for and make meaning of a psychedelic experience. What I offer is not therapy, and I'm not a therapist. Therapy typically focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, often by working through past trauma with a licensed clinical professional. My work focuses on insight, growth, and translating experience into meaningful, lasting change.
If you're carrying unprocessed trauma or have an active mental health condition requiring clinical support, therapy is the right starting point. Psychedelic integration work is most powerful when you're fundamentally well and genuinely ready to do deep inner work.
-
Preparation is the foundation everything else is built on. Going into a psychedelic experience without intentional preparation is a bit like setting out on a significant wilderness expedition without a map, the right gear, or any understanding of the terrain.
Preparation helps you clarify your intentions, understand what you're working with, regulate your nervous system, and build the inner resources to meet whatever arises. It also helps identify any contraindications or areas that need attention before you proceed. The quality of preparation is one of the most significant factors in the quality and safety of a psychedelic experience. It's where the work begins.
-
Integration is the process of making meaning of your experience and translating what arose into real, lasting change. It's where the transformation actually happens.
A psychedelic experience can open doors, surface insights, and shift perspectives in profound ways. Without integration, those insights often fade or become confusing without a context to hold them. Integration is the steady, honest work of taking what you discovered and letting it actually change how you live, relate, and move through the world. This is where most approaches to psychedelic work fall short, and where Noema Studio places the most emphasis.

A container refers to the intentional structure of time, relationship, and support that holds your process. It's not just a series of sessions. It's a defined period of work with a clear arc, consistent support between sessions, and a relationship built on trust and confidentiality. The container is what makes it safe enough to do real work, because you know what you're stepping into, who is holding it with you, and that the space will be there consistently throughout.
Is This Work Right For You
-
My clients are typically high-achieving professionals, executives, and sincere seekers, often in their 30s to 60s, who have done a great deal right by external measures and still feel a quiet wrongness underneath. Many have tried talk therapy, meditation, or other personal development work. They may have a clear awareness of their patterns and where they come from. What they haven't found yet is a way to actually shift them.
I also work with people in genuine life transitions where the old way of moving through the world no longer feels sustainable and something new is calling.
-
This work isn't the right fit for everyone, and I take that seriously. It's not for people carrying unprocessed trauma that requires clinical therapeutic support, people looking for a quick fix or someone to hand them the answers, people using psychedelics to escape or bypass their reality rather than meet it, or people who aren't yet ready to do honest inner work and take responsibility for their own transformation.
If you're unsure whether you fall into any of these categories, the discovery call is the right place to explore that together.
-
No. Many clients come to this work with little or no prior experience. What matters far more than prior experience is genuine readiness, honest self-reflection, and a willingness to do the preparation and integration work that makes the experience valuable.
-
You can absolutely work with me. Psychedelics are one powerful tool in a much larger toolkit, not the whole thing. Many of the most profound shifts happen through the coaching, reflection, somatic practices, and integration work itself, independent of any psychedelic experience. If you come to our work uncertain about whether a journey is right for you, we'll explore that together without pressure or agenda.
-
This varies significantly from person to person and depends on your intentions, your readiness, the depth of your preparation and integration work, and what arises during your experience.
Clients who do this work with genuine commitment tend to come away with a clearer sense of who they actually are beneath the roles and expectations they've been carrying. They develop a deeper capacity to trust themselves, make decisions from their values rather than their fear, and move through life with more clarity and a felt sense of connection to what is actually true for them.
Safety, Legal & Substances
-
Yes, and this is one of the reasons the discovery call and comprehensive intake process exist. There are medical, psychological, and situational factors that can make psychedelic work inadvisable or require additional consideration. These include personal or family history of psychosis or severe mental health disorders, certain medications, and other health factors we'll review carefully and confidentially during your intake.
My previous background as a Registered Nurse means I approach this with genuine clinical literacy. Your safety is the first and non-negotiable consideration in everything we do together.
-
I currently support people working with psilocybin mushrooms, ketamine, MDMA and LSD. I work only with medicines I have personal experience with, as I believe it's essential to understand from the inside what a client may be navigating. As my own experience expands, so will the medicines I work with.
-
The legal landscape around psychedelics in Canada is evolving. Preparation and integration coaching, helping someone prepare for and make meaning of a psychedelic experience, exists in a legal space distinct from facilitation. There are no laws against preparing someone for a psychedelic experience or supporting them through integration afterward.
Facilitation and the possession or administration of controlled substances occupies more complex legal territory. I take the legal landscape seriously, stay current with how it continues to evolve, and operate with my clients' safety and wellbeing as the first and non-negotiable priority. We'll discuss this openly during your discovery call.
-
No. I don't provide, source, or supply any controlled substances. This is both a legal and an ethical boundary. Clients are responsible for obtaining any substances through their own means. My role is to ensure you're as prepared, safe, and supported as possible for whatever experience you choose to undertake.
Working Together
-
The discovery call is an unhurried 45-minute conversation. We explore where you are right now, what has brought you to this point, what you're hoping for, and whether this work is the right fit for you at this moment. We'll cover your psychedelic history, any relevant health considerations, and any questions you have about the process.
At the end I'll share honestly whether I think this work is right for you right now. If it is, we talk about next steps. If it isn't, I'll tell you why and point you toward what might serve you better. No pressure and no obligation.
-
Once you've enrolled in the Transformation Package or the Microdose Method, we schedule a dedicated onboarding call before any of the work begins. This is different from the discovery call, which is about whether we're the right fit for each other. The onboarding call happens after that decision is made, and it's where we set up the container itself.
We walk the full arc together, so you know what each phase generally holds before you're in it. I'll show you the workbook and tracker and how to use them between sessions. We set expectations in both directions, what helps you show up fully, and how I'll support you throughout. And I'll ask how you most want to be supported, because the answer shapes how we work together from the first session on.
This conversation isn't one of your container sessions. It exists so nothing about the work ahead is a surprise, and so your first real session can start from a place of trust rather than orientation.
-
Yes. The single integration session is designed exactly for this. If you've recently had a psychedelic experience and need support making sense of what arose, you don't need to commit to a full container. Book a single 90-minute session to process, ground, and begin making meaning. If you decide to move into deeper work afterward, the session fee is credited toward your container investment.
-
We meet virtually for sessions at a pace that supports your process without overwhelming it. Between sessions you'll have access to your workbook for reflection and practice, and I'm available for between-session support, particularly in the days surrounding your journey.
The rhythm of our work is established collaboratively in our first session, based on your schedule, your readiness, and what the work calls for. No two containers look exactly the same because no two people are the same.
-
Possibly, depending on your plan. True Health Spending Accounts are usually tied to the CRA's list of eligible medical expenses, and coaching often falls outside that list. Personal or Lifestyle Spending Accounts are typically defined by your employer rather than the CRA, and many of them do cover coaching, wellness, and personal development work directly. Check your plan's eligible categories with your HR or benefits provider first. If it's covered, I'm happy to provide a receipt for your claim.
